Probably the eSport itself started when its predecessor Counter Strike 1.6 started organizing tournaments, today, CS:GO is the most competitive first person shooter game. It was developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation in 2012. Available for PC, OS X, Xbox 306 and PlayStation 4. In every match game puts two teams to fight over single objective. Terrorists must reach the bomb side and plant the bomb, while Counter-Terrorists must defuse the bomb if planted or eliminate the opposing force.

Counter Strike Global Offensive has a huge eSport scene. With the prize pool from $150.000 up to $1.000.000 per tournament. This is the list of tournaments just in 2019:

iBUYPOWER Masters IV.
IEM Season XIII – Katowice Major 2019.
World Electronic Sports Games 2019.
StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7.
IEM Season XIV - Sydney.
DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019.
ESL One: Cologne 2019.

Counter Strike Global Offensive has a large variety of guns split into different groups, from Pistols to Heavy, Armor Gear, Explosives, Snipers and Defuse Kits. The balance is done by the group of professionals the ensure that every gun has a role.

Another big and popular part of CS:GO is its addictive micro-transaction crate system. Streamers started the trend of case un-boxing that attracted the attention of millions of players. A weapon's exterior quality will not degrade over time and can never be changed.

The exterior quality hierarchy is the following, from best to worst:

Factory New (FN)
Minimal Wear (MW)
Field-Tested (FT)
Well-Worn (WW)
Battle-Scarred (BS)

CS:GO Boost Guide

Counter Strike video performance is really important in competitive play, low frame-rate really does impact skill cap and if your computer isn't handling the rendering part well, you are going to get really frustrated, to avoid that here is how each options affects gameplay:

Video Settings

Color Mode - Television Color brightens everything up, computer monitor isn't as bright. Set accordingly, old monitors are not as bright as new ones.

Brightness - Drag bar lets you adjust it

Aspect Ratio - Aspect ratio is the relationship of the width of a video image compared to its height. The two most common aspect ratios are 4:3, also known as 1.33:1 or fullscreen, and 16:9, also known as 1.78:1 or widescreen. Professional players tend to use 4:3.

Display Mode - Options available are Fullscreen (means only that application will be rendered), Windowed (Background apps will consume more processing power) Windowed Fullscreen (This mode is a compromise between the other two. Borderless windowed mode looks like fullscreen mode, but it’s really windowed mode running at full-screen size with no borders. It combines the benefit of having your game take up the whole screen with the convenience of being able to mouse to another monitor instantly).

Advanced Video

Global Shadow Quality - high shadow quality increases the render distance of shadows unscoped, single scoped and double scoped.

Model / Texture Detail - Here you can select the sharpness and rendering power for in-game textures, they take up performance so choose accordingly.

Effect Detail - This effects the edges of smoke grenades, smoke of the incendiaries and particles of a HE grenade.

• Higher Effect Detail = More effects, smoke and particles
• Lower Effect Detail = Less effects, smoke and particles

Shader Detail - This creates weather on some maps such as snow or rain. There is also more major differences which I will cover. My recommendation is to set it to Very Low, you will get better performance and better vision with no blur.

Multicore Rendering - Enables the game to use more than two cores, if you have a high end machine, definitely enable this option.

Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode - In supersample anti-aliasing, multiple locations are sampled within every pixel, and each of those samples is fully rendered and combined with the others to produce the pixel that is ultimately displayed.

FXAA Anti-Aliasing - Smoothens the edges of 3D object to make them appear more blend in, in fact it just blurs them a little. Game lets you select the amount of blur you want to apply
.
Texture Filtering Mode - Lets the computer know how an object will appear from the distance and when close to it.

V-Sync - Regulates and synchronizes the frame rate of the game and the refresh rate of the monitor. Although some players have a preference of keeping it on for a smoother gameplay, we suggest to keep it DISABLED on slower computers in order to get more frame rate.

Motion Blur - Adds the blur effect when quickly turning to simulate the eye.

CS: GO Network Boost

To enable the developer console go to the Options - Game Settings - Game - Developer Console - Yes, then press ` to open the console and now type net_graph 1 to enable FPS and Network Performance numbers, type net_graph 0 to disable it.

After you have optimized your options make sure you have adjusted your network properly. If you don't understand how watch our short video guide to familiarize yourself with the Counter Strike Global Offensive user interface and Options.

Here is a short list of things you can tinker with and hopefully solve your connection problems:

Reboot your network - Unplug your modem (and your wireless router, if it’s a separate device) from power for 60 seconds.

- Plug in your network devices again and wait until the indicator lights are back to its normal state.

Update your graphics card drivers. In some cases this fixed the problem with latency in Cs:Go. You can download the drivers from official websites, just Google your graphics card model.

Download and install Latency Optimizer 4. If your games or applications performing slow or lagging than Latency Optimizer will assist you by boosting your operating system, network and internet connection via the integrated tools.

We hope you managed to resolve your issues, now get back to that Global Elite grind. Good luck from Badosoft!

This tool can help you skip a couple of the steps I talked about here and has some other nice features that can further increase your pc’s performance.
